Revelations of 7th Heaven's dark side have devoured the internet since the final episode aired in 2007. First and foremost, Stephen Collins' scandal has not only changed his life but the lives of those who once saw him as the pure and good-natured Reverend Eric Camden. It also called into question the reactions of his co-stars. Additionally, news of the cast's rather pitiful residual cheques also put the Brenda Hampton-created WB/CW series in a less-than-favorable light.
Then there's news of Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell's crush on their on-screen brother, played by David Gallagher and Barry Watson. This article will reveal details of their on-set flirtation as well as delve into how it changed their relationship while making 7th Heaven and beyond.
Jessica Biel And Beverley Mitchell Had A Crush On David Gallagher And Barry Watson While Making 7th Heaven
Most of the cast of 7th Heaven, excluding the controversial hermit Stephen Collins, gathered at 90s Con in March 2024. Among them were Catherine Hicks, Mackenzie Rosman, Barry Watson, David Gallagher, and Beverley Mitchell. During a panel moderated by Breanne Heldman from People, Hicks, who played the matriarch of the Camden family on 7th Heaven, revealed that Mitchell and Jessica Biel had a huge crush on David Gallagher, even though he was playing their brother.
"Jessie and Beverley had such a crush on [David Gallgher]."

Hicks went on to claim that this wasn't exactly strange given that David Gallagher was merely a couple of years young than both Mitchell and the woman who would eventually become Justin Timberlake's wife.
"They were, like, so in love with him. [Beverley] was 15 and Jessie was 14."

Embarrassed, Gallagher, who is now 39 years old at the time of this writing, claimed that the real cast crush was Barry Watson.
"We were all in love with Barry!" Gallagher stated.
"I'd come out of my trailer, they were always lingering around," Barry Watson added, according to People. "They were trying to act naturally."
Watson even claimed that Beverley Mitchell would often wait for him on the stairs of his trailer.
While the revelation about the cast's crush on Gallagher was new in 2024, the topic of their thing for Barry Watson is not. It actually came up back in 2021 when Watson described Biel and Mitchell's behavior toward him on the set of 7th Heaven. During an interview with Us Weekly, Watson claimed he's joked with Biel in recent years about how she still may have a thing for him.

But I think at the time I didn’t really think about that."
Did The Cast Of 7th Heaven Date Each Other?
Very little is known about what actually went down between the young cast members on the set of 7th Heaven. But despite the revelation of crushes, Jessica Biel claimed that nothing ever happened between the cast members.
- 7th Heaven ran from 1996 until 2007

Are The Cast Of 7th Heaven Friends?
The truth is, most of the cast of 7th Heaven went their separate ways after the show ended. This is with a couple of major exceptions, mainly Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell, whose connection playing sisters on the show moved into real life. According to Today, Mitchell and Biel have stayed close friends since the show ended in 2007.
But that doesn't mean the two didn't butt heads. During an interview with Us Weekly in 2019, Mitchell claimed that Jessica Biel used to drive her "nuts".
“There were times where I just remember going home, because we would carpool home [from the 7th Heaven set], and we would just yell at each other all the time."
Fortunately, these were just growing pains for the actors, as they both grew into a deeper and more meaningful relationship after the show ended.
